Growing in containers helps to avoid some diseases and garden pests,
but not all! I planted some new containers with a Japanese Maple, a
Pieris and some other mixed displays.
I had a couple of extra small pots so I put in some left over
pansies. Not very imaginative I know but it was some extra colour
at the front of the display. Not for long though.
I went out after about a week and found them totally flattened. I'm
pretty sure there are foxes living at the bottom of the garden and
I guess that they are the culprits. I have previously seen a fox
take a leap, spread eagle itself and land on a Fuchsia. Don't ask me
why, it's a fox thing!
At least they didn't touch the good stuff.
